“Google pushed out its G+ iPhone app today a little bit too fast. It was buggy, crashed, and kept spinning in circles. In fact, it was so buggy that Google has already pushed out an update, which is the fastest update to an iPhone app I’ve ever seen. Google+ Mobile product manager Punit Soni says that the first app was actually a test version that was released by mistake, and the new update should fix many of the stability issues. So if you have already downloaded the app, delete it and get the update.” — HT — TechCrunch.com

Google Introduces Goo.gl: Google’s own URL Shortener

Currently, Goo.gl works inside Feedburner and from the Google toolbar.

    QUOTE:

Google URL Shortener at goo.gl is a service that takes long URLs and squeezes them into fewer characters to make a link that is easier to share, tweet, or email to friends. The core goals of this service are:

    • Stability – ensuring that the service has very good uptime
    • Security – protecting users from malware and phishing pages
    • Speed – fast resolution of short URLs

Google URL Shortener is currently available for Google products and not for broader consumer use.

The Google privacy policy applies to the Google URL Shortener. Please note that Google may choose to publicly display aggregate and non-personally identifiable statistics about particular shortened links, such as the number of end user clicks.

    Is the Google Phone Real?

“Yes, … there really is a Google Phone! And no, I don’t mean all those Android-powered devices, but instead a Google-branded phone that’s made by an original equipment maker. ” – Om Malik @ http://gigaom.com/2009/12/12/new-google-phone/

“We recently came up with the concept of a mobile lab, which is a device that combines innovative hardware from a partner with software that runs on Android to experiment with new mobile features and capabilities, and we shared this device with Google employees across the globe. This means they get to test out a new technology and help improve it”. — Mario Queiroz, Vice President, Product Management @ http://googlemobile.blogspot.com/2009/12/android-dogfood-diet-for-holidays.html
