Someone asked this question today: "Why do they name hurricanes and not tornado's?" I offered: "One is wet, while the other is dry?" To which the reply was : "One is wet, while the other is dry?" Which got me thinking: About ... Typhoon? Hurricane? Cyclone? & Tornadoes! Looked it up and found this: https://www.cbsnews.com/news/typhoon-hurricane-cyclone-heres-the-difference/ So next time, ... maybe I would consider strength, rotation & seasons. Enjoy! BTW, I did respond with this question: "What about cyclones and typhoons?" Let's see what they say. Update: "I think we need to factor in the strength, rotation & season, location, climate and weather too."
